Why This Clock Exists
Big Short Clock translates a market thesis into a public checklist. The point is not to predict a crash date. The point is to show which assumptions are being confirmed, and which assumptions would falsify the story.

Automated dashboard summary · no new AI research
The deterministic dashboard shows elevated fragility when credit, rates, liquidity, or market-stress indicators cluster near risky historical percentiles. The reading should be treated as a falsifiable regime monitor, not a crash forecast.
2.63 % on 2026-10-29
Higher real rates pressure long-duration equity valuations.
3.26 pp on 2026-10-29
Higher high-yield spreads mean credit risk is being repriced.
0.78 pp on 2026-10-30
Lower or inverted curves are recession and credit-cycle warning signals.
194000.0 claims on 2026-10-24
This currently offsets the fragility score: Rising jobless claims are an early labor-market stress signal.
6745635.0 USD millions on 2026-10-28

This clock is a transparent way to stress-test a market narrative. It measures historical fragility, not destiny.
Big Short Clock translates a market thesis into a public checklist. The point is not to predict a crash date. The point is to show which assumptions are being confirmed, and which assumptions would falsify the story.
Each indicator is mapped onto a historical percentile from 0 to 100. When higher values imply more fragility, the percentile becomes the risk score. When lower values imply more fragility, the score is inverted.
Category scores are weighted averages of fresh indicators. Missing or stale readings are excluded and lower confidence. The final composite score is mapped from 00:00 to 23:59.
The framework watches rates, liquidity, credit, labor, market stress, and AI-capex-sensitive narrative pressure. It is designed to surface when an expensive equity story is still being supported by the real economy and credit markets, and when that support starts to erode.
These are the kinds of moves that matter more than broad opinions about valuation.
